“Do you still need the bathroom?”

“Yes, desperately.” Ellie is back, and he waits for her to use the knife or the pair of scissors she has fetched, but instead she smiles at him, an empty water bottle in her hand. His stomach tightens with disbelief at the sight.

“Are you kidding me?”

“Nope.”

“Untie me now,” he spits at her, the edges of duct tape biting into his skin.

“No.”

“Fucking untie me now,” he shouts as the chair rattles hard under his rage. She responds with a stony silence that fuels his frustration, the wheels from the chair lifting dangerously from the floor. Once he has burned through his anger, the chair stops moving.

“Finished?”

He won’t dignify her with an answer.

“I’m not untying you, so you have two options: either you use this bottle, or you piss yourself. What’s it gonna be?”

The cruelty of her words and steadiness of her tone tell him the Ellie he knows is gone. He is now trapped in the middle of nowhere with a stranger and he has no idea what she’s capable of. But the horrifying consequences of this will have to wait. For now, the humiliation of pissing himself is too shameful for him to bear.

“The bottle,” Steven says, the words barely escaping through his gritted teeth. He will never forgive her for this. He has never been treated with such disrespect. How can she do it to him?

His zipper goes down, and as he closes his eyes his mind detaches himself from the situation. She takes him into her hand, and for the first time he doesn’t grow hard at her touch. He lets go of his pride irrevocably as the warm stream of urine hits the bottle. How did he get here? He has never sunk so low in his life. Whenever he gets free, he will make her pay for this. She can’t keep him tied up forever. Humiliation reaches absolute rock bottom when she shakes the last drops out of him, before zipping him up.

She leaves him alone with the acrid smell of urine to dispose of the bottle and its contents. And he unleashes his rage.
